Imagination and visualization are a beautiful thing and allow us to see worlds outside reality, but be careful how far you travel, or you may become stranded between worlds  becoming a prisoner to your dreams and lost to the world.-Mark Humes, The Book Of Lost Verses: Book 9

I readied myself to explore the universes inside my mind. I began to contemplate the dangers I face to bring these images to the world.

There were many times in my past explorations where I encountered things so beautiful and compelling I did not want to leave that place.

Fear filled me as I contemplated my mind stranded in another reality while my body remained behind or even worst being trapped between worlds.

The feeling of horror was absolute. I had to give it life and bring it into this realm to bring it under control.

I searched in an endless sea of the cosmos within to find a stranded traveler who had met this fate.

I wanted to understand what took place and render an image to show the world.  That would caution the dangers of escapism.

It was then that I found the traveler in a chilling scene. Surrounded by doctors who knew nothing when dealing with an eleven-dimensional mind in a three-dimensional world.

He screamed in terror as the sensations and visions flooded his mind, helpless to stop the shock and chemicals that were all used to no avail.

Now uprooted from his anchor he flew chaotically through the cosmic sea; Hundreds of worlds filled his eye in minutes both hellish and fantastic.

Behind it, all was a shadowy image of a world he once called home now forever out of reach with only one dark revelation coming to light.

Hell is a part of the human mind, and when you disregard your roots to this reality to sojourn in the heavens, you receive the key to hells gate that only allows entrance but no exit.

This work of art will be a feature in my soon to be released book, The Book Of Lost Verses: Book 9 that has a tentative release date of November 2018 and is currently available as a print at Mark Humes Gallery.
